Astrid  Engberg is a contemporary artist with roots in the past. She presents a  modern mix of electronic-organic jazz, soul and percussive minimalism.

Astrid  invites listeners into a universe of minimalistic and heavy  productions, personal stories and spiritual quest - an enchanting voice  expressing both sincere sensitivity and deep strength.

Moving  fluidly between genres and influenced by jazz, soul, beats, classical  and West African music, Astrid presents a modern mix of  electronic-organic jazz, soul and percussive minimalism.

Much  has happened since Danish producer, singer and DJ Astrid Engberg  released her debut album ‘Tulpa’ in September 2020. Bandcamp was quick  to place the album on Best Albums Summer 2020 and Engberg received the  prestigious award Steppeulven as “Producer of the Year 2021” by Danish  Music Critics. 

‘Tulpa’  was also awarded “Vocal Jazz Release of the Year 2021” at Danish Music  Awards Jazz 2021 and nominated for “Experimental Album of the Year”.

Over  the past years, Engberg has performed live or as a DJ at SPOT Festival,  Heartland Festival, STRØM Festival, Roskilde Festival, Danish Music  Awards Jazz and P8Jazz Alive, DR Koncerthuset, Vega, Radar, Fritz Hansen  and SMK – Statens Museum for Kunst etc.
